Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!

Now I can breathe and relax a little bit again.  Christmas is done and gone.  Don't get me wrong it was great to spend time with family, especially those that we don't get to see very often, but I'm glad it's all done.

We had Christmas Eve dinner with Jordan's family.  All the food and the company was great.  We stayed there way later than we wanted to, but that's normal.  Kaitlyn and Hannah just played and played, which was good considering Kaitlyn seems to have picked up the cold that the rest of us have had and so she was crabby and not feeling very good.  She and Hannah even go to the bathroom together and were in there for quite a while.  Someone would check on them now and then.  I peeked my head in at one point and Kaitlyn was still sitting on the potty, but she was holding a magazine.  She sees me and holds up the magazine saying, "I'm looking at this."  It was really funny and I was thinking she's seen Jordan using the potty one too many times.

When we got home last night, Kaitlyn put a few cookies on a plate for Santa.  We made candy cane cookies for Santa the night before.  She liked making them because she got to roll out "snakes"  to twist together for the candy cane look.  She then quickly went to bed so that Santa could come.

This morning we opened presents here at home and looked at what Santa brought us, then went to Grama and Papa's to open more presents and have brunch.  The kids really hauled it in, go figure.  They got clothes, which Keith really needed since he is rapidly growing out of his clothes, small toys, big toys, etc.  Some of the big things that Kaitlyn got were a first computer that is a keyboard which plugs into the TV, she learns basic preschool grammar, math, etc and keyboarding skills; a Fisher-Price Fit park mat, again teaching basic preschool skills; a Cozy Coupe Flinstone type car, meaning she uses her feet to get around in it, it's not battery operated; and two quilts, which I had made for her from her receiving blankets with a fleece backing and "frillies", you can't have a blanket without frillies.  Those quilts took a while, but I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out.  I made two for Keith as well with his receiving blankets.  Ketih also got a Bumbo; a couple of talking/teaching stuffed animals, a cow and a puppy; a sit and play toy, it has safari animals that slide down a little slide and do a couple of other things; and several small two handed toys and clothes.  Jordan got his 10-gauge shot gun, so he didn't receive anything else from me, but he did get some clothes and a reloading press that was supposed to be for the 10-gauge, but turned out to be for a 12-gauge.  It's turned out ok though becuase he's been wanting another 12-gauge press to reload a different size of shell.  He also got other small items.  I got a Total Gym home workout system.  I'm hoping to lose those few extra baby pounds this year.  Keeping my fingers crossed that I can.  I also got several items for the cricut that I inherited from my mother-in-law when she got a new one.  I'm still wanting to get that thing out and just play with it, but this past month has just been crazy busy.  I also got a nice jacket and some kitchen items.

We stayed and talked with the family for a while, the kids played and ran amok.  Then we finally mosied home to pick up and sort through all that we got.  We put as much as we felt we could away and by that time it was time for dinner.  After a meal of spaghetti and meatballs with cornbread (Jordan cooked, so I wasn't going to question the combination), we video talked with my dad and stepmom, though she was in and out making dinner and talking to her dad.  It's really nice to be able to "see" them when we can't be right there to see them.

The kids went to bed and I got busy doing the little things that I have a hard time doing when they're awake.

I hope everyone had an as fulfilling Christmas as we did, and not just with gifts but with family and friends.  We also hope that everyone who had to travel did so safely and without incident.  Merry Christmas and here's to a wonderful New Year for everyone!

Thank you to everyone for the wonderful cards and gifts.  It's so great to hear from the family, especially mine since we all seem to be so far apart.

Happy 4 months Keith and guess what....you get shots!

Keith is now 4 months old and is as happy as ever.  Though he has been a little bit crabby lately.  I think he's starting to cut teeth, because he's also drooling a lot and is constipated.  I'm sure y'all wanted to know that, but Kaitlyn was the same way when she was cutting teeth.  He's starting to remember how to roll over again and is also putting everything he can get a hold of into his mouth.  He can almost sit by himself and he tries really hard to sit up when he's laying down.  He still jibbers and jabbers a lot.  Not sure what he's saying yet, but he says a lot.

He did have a doctors appointment today and he is doing well.  He is 15 lbs. 6 oz. (75th percentile) and 26 1/2 inches (97th percentile, he's really tall!).  He did have to get two shots and an oral vaccine today.  He didn't like any of it.  Kaitlyn was really cute though.  I told her that we were taking Keith to the doctor and she said, "I don't want to get pokeys."  I told her that she wasn't.  Then she told me that, "brother's getting pokeys in the legs and he'll cry."  I had to laugh, it was so cute how relieved she was to not be getting "pokeys" herself, and then the worry she had for her brother.  He recovers from the shots a lot faster than Kaitlyn ever did or does for that matter.

Kaitlyn has still been doing really well with the potty training.  There are a few accidents every now-and-then, but has been wearing undies for almost a month now.  She's also all ready for Christmas and presents.  She doesn't get the concept of Santa yet.  I've tried to explain, but she doesn't understand.

We, Kaitlyn and I, went into the pet store the other day to post a flyer for the tanks.  She was going around naming all the animal:  dogs, cats, fish, etc.  We get to the salt water tanks and there are clown fish in a couple of them.  Well, of course they're "Nemos".  One tank had two clown fish and one was actually smaller than the other, so, that "Nemo" had found his daddy.  The other clown fish was all alone, Kaitlyn looks at me and says, with a very forlorn look on her face, "He needs to find his daddy."  She was sad that he didn't have his daddy while the other one did.  She's so funny.

Well, I'm finally starting to get all of the presents in that need to be sent out to family.  Some of them have already been turned around and sent right back out too.  My stress level is starting to come down some.  Thank heavens!  I'm afraid I haven't been very fun to be around lately.  A little tip for anyone who would like it:  Use USPS.com and print off your shipping labels, then all you have to do is drop them off at the post office, or you can even have someone pick them up.  You also save a little bit of money by printing your own.  It's awesome!  I used it for the first time yesterday and it's great.  This way I don't have to pack all the kids out and drag them inside to stand in line for who know how long and then walk them back out in the below freezing weather.  I love it!

Like father like son.  They were watching football very intently.

Gingerbread House fun!

I made gingerbread houses for the kids to decorate and took them and a bunch of candy to Grama's house to make a mess.  They had fun putting on the frosting and candy and licking the frosting and eating the candy.  I think Hayden is the only one who ate more candy than he put on the house, but the girls ate their fair share too.  I also cut out a santa, tree, and snowman for each of them to decorate as well.  It's getting to be fun now that Kaitlyn is old enough to do stuff like that with.

Kaitlyn also went to play group on Friday and they decorated little foam Christmas trees.  She ended up finishing it at home.  Then, that night Nana had sent her a card that had a little cut out Christmas tree and stickers to decorate it with.  She had fun decorating that one as well.  We put them both in her room on top of her dresser and she thought that was just the coolest thing ever.

Now I'm sure she's going to want to decorate more things, but I'm not sure what to do.  I'll have to think of something.

I've been so busy baking lately:  gingerbread houses, fruit cake, and I still need to make scones to send out.  I'm also make the kids quilts out of their receiving blakets (thanks for the idea Chelsey).  What's going to be hard about that is I'm going to have to do them at night, or at least Kaitlyn's, so she doesn't see.  I am going to be so glad when the holiday is over.  I'm really looking forward to a couple of days off when Jordan and I take a break together and go over to Rapid City to finish Christmas shopping and relax together without kids.  I can't wait!

The Holidays are upon us!

Well, Thanksgiving has now come and gone and I hope that everyone was able to enjoy the company of friends and family.  We were able to have Thanksgiving with Grama and Papa; Chelsey, Bryan, Hannah, and Hayden; Grandma and Grandpa Sessions; and, Grandma's sister, Carol, who was up visiting from Vegas.  It was great to see and spend time with everyone and the food was also wonderful.  We hope that all of those who had to travel made it home safely.

Looking forward to Christmas, we put up the tree today.  Kaitlyn said it is the "biggest tree ever".  I told her I wasn't so sure about that.  Maybe we'll have to get her over to Rockefeller Center in NY sometime to see a really big tree.  She really enjoyed putting the ornaments on.  Of course all of them were "hers".  She also like the little hopping Christmas tree that Nana sent last year.  She kept calling it a frog though.  I also had to go back and move some of the ornaments that she hung because there were several on the same branch at times.  It was funny.  I'm not sure how we're going to keep her from taking the ornaments off all the time.  She kept wanting to take them off and move them, but I'm not so sure that's a good idea considering a couple of them did break when she dropped them.  Don't worry, none of them were glass.  We also still need to put the lights up on the house, I'm hoping that Jordan will do it this weekend.

Kaitlyn has finally decided to use the potty all the time.  We are even wearing panties now.  After a week of being almost completely dry I told Kaitlyn she could were her undies.  Today was the first day to wear panties and she did incredibly well.  We only had one tiny wetting and that was partially Momma's fault, because we were decorating the tree and I forgot to get her to the bathroom, but she only tinkled a little bit in her undies and then came straight to me and said that she needed to use the potty.  I was so proud of her!  I guess I shouldn't be too surprised that this was how it happened, just suddenly, since she suddenly decided to stop nursing when she was a baby.  I'll have to remember that for her it's like a switch when it comes to certain things.

I have absolutely no Christmas shopping done and for some reason I just feel like there's not going to be any time to do it either.  I am getting ready to order Christmas cards this weekend, so at least those will be on their way soon and I can get those sent off.  Which will be one less thing to worry about.  The holidays just seem to get busier and busier and I never know where the time goes.

I have started to implement a dinner menu plan.  I plan out our meals for the days between paychecks, since we grocery shop once a paycheck and so far it's going really well.  I'm getting to try all the meals that I've been wanting to try, but forget about and I always know what we're having for dinner.  Now I don't have to panic when it's suddenly 6 o'clock and I haven't made anything yet.  Also, I don't have to hear Jordan complain, because we're eating leftovers again for the third day in a row.  I'm still flexible though.  If the leftovers are piling up then we have a leftover night and the meal that I was going to make just gets moved to another day.  It does seem to make life a little bit easier.

I also need to go through all my seeds for gardening and see what I still have and what I need for next year.  I also should remap where things are going to be planted just to keep things from growing in the same place and sucking all the nutrients out of that spot.  I'm hoping for a little bit more success next year if I start my seedlings sooner inside.  Meaning I'll probably have to start in January or February.  It sucks to live in a place with such a short growing season, but I'll figure out how to make it work, it just may take some time.

Keith is 3 months!

It's hard to believe that three months have already passed since Keith was born, but now he's 13 lbs. 14 oz. and 25 1/4 inches long.  He babbles a lot and seems to have forgotten that he can roll over, but his sister was the same way.  It's like the brain has to process what's its doing, like his body got ahead of his brain.  He has figured out how to reach and grab, and is also discovering that he can put what he's grabbed into his mouth.  He keeps one hand on his bottle and if, when he's hungry, he loses sight of his bottle he gets a little upset.

He gets up only once at night usually around 3 or 4:00 am and then will sleep again until about 6 or 7:00 am.  There are those occassions where he will sleep until about 5:00 am but then won't go back to sleep, which is a little hard on Mom.  There are times when he takes a nap that he'll fall asleep on his own, but he doesn't like napping in his own bed.  Right now I think he's going through a growth spurt, because he's been taking at least one 3-4 hour nap.  I like that, because I can get some things done.

He likes to play with his toys and hates to be left in his chair or on the floor if he can't play or see someone.  After a while he does get tired of playing by himself.  He loves to smile and tries to giggle, with a little success at times.  There was one time where he giggled while he was napping and almost woke himself up.  It was so funny.

Kaitlyn is doing good.  She seems to have adjusted pretty well to being a big sister.  She likes to give Keith hugs and kisses a lot, especially before going to bed.  She'll talk to him at times and wants to help with him as much as she can.

We did get to go to the park the other day, the three kids and I (I tend to consider Duke to be one of the kids, because he acts like one).  It was a beautiful day.  Kaitlyn got to slide for a while, then we let Duke run around on the baseball field.  Then Kaitlyn decided that she wanted to go see "Daddy's geese".  She seems to think that all of the geese are Jordan's now that it's hunting season.  So, we went down to the pond to watch the geese, though I think Kaitlyn was more interested in throwing leaves into the pond than watching geese.  I just wish I had thought to pack our lunch, we could have picniced down by the pond.  Then of course the next day was a little too chilly to go to the park, so no picnic.

Jordan is working and hunting and hunting and working.  I guess I shouldn't be surprised, it seems like the more kids we have the less we get to see him and the less he wants to go out and do things with us.  But, he has been bringing home quite a bit of meat this year, so I can't complain too much.  He also still has a job, which is also a blessing.  Beggers can't be choosers, right.

I have been trying to balance my time between all my kids and the house and I'm usually left with very little for myself.  My pile of books to read is starting to stack up again and I haven't even been able to think about scrapbooking yet.  I feel like I'm just so far behind on my own personal stuff that I'll never be able to catch up.  That includes sleep too sometimes.

I had to take a picture of him in this outfit.  These were actually taken a couple of days ago.

Happy Halloween!!

Yes, I know that was yesterday, but I was busy yesterday. I hope everyone had a great and safe Halloween with lots of goodies. We carved pumpkins with Grama and Papa on Friday night. The kids were a little crabby and weren't really into it. I ended up carving 2 pumpkins, Hannah wanted a cat, but became uninterested quickly. I also did the pumpkin with the ghost.

On Halloween I got the kids dressed up and we went to Grama and Papa's for dinner and trick-or-treating. We took the kids out around the block when we got there and then ate some dinner and after a while went back out again. Kaitlyn was a little hesitant to go up to the door, but having Hannah there and the prospect of candy helped. This is the first year that she's really gone out and trick-or-treated, so she wasn't real sure about all of it. Next year will probably be better. Keith hung out with Grama and slept.

The Arnolds did stop over for a bit. All the kids played and ate candy for a while. I did make caramel apples again this year and have been left with more than I would like. Maybe I can con Jordan into taking some into work tomorrow. We'll see.

Silly Little Girl

Kaitlyn decided to wear Momma's jammies. I had to help her get into them, but it was so cute I had to take a picture.

We found our thumb

Keith found his thumb today for sure. He had been trying before without much success. I have been giving him a pacifier and he'll take it, but when ever there isn't a pacifier he looks for his thumb and today we have been successful. I was really hoping that I wouldn't end up with another thumbsucker. I was really wanting him to take the pacifier, because the pacifier seems easier to break. You can't take a thumb away. So any tips from anyone out there on how to break the habit would be great, because Kaitlyn will be the first guinea pig.

We are just about done with processing elk meat, all that's left is a bunch of scraps to grind up and package and we are done. We eventually did end up with quite a bit of meat. Tyler was nice enough to share some of his elk. When we get up enough drive we'll turn a lot of the ground meat into sausages of various types and beer sticks.

The Fish Slapping Dance

I just had to put this on here, because it's one of my favorite Monty Python skits.

Happy 50th Dad!!

Sorry Keith isn't in the video, but he's been really crabby all day and finally is taking a real nap. I was not going to wake him. He wishes you a Happy Birthday too though.

Just so everyone knows, the guys made it back from hunting, albeit a relatively unsuccessful one, but they did make it back. Another added bonus is that the kids and I didn't kill each other while they were gone. Yeah!! There were moments when it was close, like going to the grocery store. Never again! Otherwise we took a walk to the park one day, when it was warm and calm, and just hung out and played outside with Duke enjoying the warm weather while it lasted.

Jordan's uncle, Eric, Tyler, and Eric's friend, Pat, are the only ones of the group that came back with an elk. They didn't see that many this year. It got too cold earlier in the month with all the snow that it drove them down farther this year than usual and were out of their hunting area. So, another year without an elk. Jordan was going to try to get a deer, but said he didn't even see that many deer either. He'll go this weekend to get a deer. Here's hoping that he'll get a deer. He usually does.

Keith is 2 months

Keith is now 2 months old and we had a doctor appointment today. He is 12 lbs. even and 24 inches long. He's in the 50th percentile for his weight and the 90th for his height. He was supposed to get shots today, but they didn't have something so that he doesn't have to get as many shots, it's something that combines them. Otherwise, he'd be getting poked like 7 times. So, now we have to go back a little later in the week and just get shots.

Kaitlyn went to the doctor with us and she actualAdd Imagely impressed the doctor with her recognition of animal butts. There was a poster in the exam room that had different animal butts on it, some sort of second hand smoke poster. She started naming the animal butts while the doctor was in the room. She had asked me a question just before Kaitlyn started naming them off and she had forgot what she had asked.

He's been doing pretty good. He still "talks" quite a bit and has even added a few more sounds to his vocab. Also, he's rolled over from his belly to his back a few times. If he's on his belly and gets mad he'll even manage to get his knees under himself and then face plant. It does manage to move him around a little bit, but it looks like it hurts.

I did switch him to formula, and thankfully his gas has gotten better. He still eats like he's not on formula. The kid just eats and eats and eats. He does get some sleep in there somewhere too. He's still a pretty happy little guy, unless he's not getting a bottle fast enough.

Kaitlyn's doing good and still trying to find ways to get into trouble. I also can't get seem to get her to understand the meaning of "brother is sleeping and we need to be quiet". It just passes right over her head. Also, we're trying to get her to understand that she needs to be nice to Duke and that he doesn't always want to play with her.

Jordan's getting ready for elk hunting. They leave on Wednesday and luckily for him there's been snow, snow, and more snow. There's probably over a foot up in the area where they hunt. He's going up with family and friends for about a week. I'm going to be alone with two very young kids and a dog who acts like a small child for a week. I'll let you know if everyone survives. I'm really hoping that he does manage to bring something home this year. We didn't have any elk last year and we had to buy more meat. Plus I like the fact that elk isn't any where near as fatty as beef.
I'll post again after the hunting week, that is if I survived.

Happy Birthday Mom!!!!

We love you and hope you have an absolutely wonderful birthday!

WHAT the "bleep"? NOOOOOOO!!

This was the view from my backdoor this morning. I couldn't believe it. We got a little bit of snow on the first, but it wasn't enough to get worked up about. This is a few inches and it's heavy and wet. I'm not ready for winter yet. Jordan was all happy about it of course. It's good for hunting and all. Still, yuck. Then it was grey and cloudy all day and snowed ever so lightly most of the day.

Kaitlyn had fun. She put on her new snow boots, coat and gloves and played in the snow. Duke went out and played with her. It was really cute. Kaitlyn would throw snowballs (after I told her that her hands would get really cold if she kept picking up the snow, her gloves aren't made for that) and Duke would try to find it. He had been eating snow all day long. After a while Kaitlyn comes in the house and says, "Momma I'm freezing." Sure enough her hands were just frigid. I finally convinced her to stay in the house so she wouldn't get sick and made her hot chocolate with marshmallows.

Jordan got a video of Kaitlyn dancing on Sunday morning while he was making breakfast. He had put in a video in our kitchen radio and Kaitlyn was watching and dancing. However, for some reason our computer won't recognize them on the card. I'll keep trying and post it when I can.

Keith will be turning 2 months in a few days and I'll have an update then.

Happy Grandparents Day!!!

Just wanted to say Happy Grandparents Day to all our Grandparents: mine, Jordan's, Kaitlyn and Keith's. Hope you all are having a great day. We thank you all for all that you do and just for being in our lives. Much love from us all.
Also, I wanted to get a picture in of the fun and colorful carrots that I grew in my garden. This picture's for you Sis.

Keith is 1 month old and Kaitlyn has a new haircut.

It's amazing how busy life gets with two. Keith is getting bigger everyday and more alert. He is "talking" and looking around quite a bit. He's still really gassy though, but seems to be doing better relieving it. There are times when it doesn't seem to bother him as much as others. Of course I'm still not sure what's causing it. He eats a lot too. There are days when I'm not sure if I can keep up.

Kaitlyn decided to giver herself a new haircut. She was supposed to be watching her movie upstairs in Jordan and I's room, but she got into the bathroom and pulled out the little pair of safety scissors that I keep in there for whatever. I asked Jordan to go check on her because I heard something drop that didn't sound right. I was feeding Keith at the time. Kaitlyn was coming down the stairs as he was heading up and she tried to keep him from going up there. That's when you know she was doing something she knows that she shouldn't be. He went up and said he saw the scissors and my hairties on the bed, but it didn't register. Then he saw the lock of hair when he went to the other side of the bed. Meanwhile, she had come to me to try and get me to save her. I looked at her head and couldn't believe that she had cut a little bit of her hair off of her forhead. It's not a lot, but it's noticable if she has a ponytail in.
Other exciting news is that Keith's room is painted and the crib is up. There's just a few small things that need to be done, like Jordan getting the rest of his stuff out of the closet, and then Keith will be completely moved in. Yeah! Only after more than a month after he was born, but it will be done.

2 weeks old

Keith was 2 weeks old on Monday which is when he had an appointment. He is looking good and is already 8 lb. 10 oz. and 21 1/4 inches long. He's gained 1 lb. 2 oz. and a little over 2 inches. He eats a lot and I mean a lot. However, he has a lot of gas as well. It even wakes him up sometimes, because he is filled with so much gas. His doctor said that it's something that I'm eating and I'm going to have to figure out what it is and not eat it anymore or at least while I'm nursing. This means that he'll wake up sometimes a half hour after I lay him down, which at night means I don't get much sleep. He eats every 2-3 hours all day and night as it is and you add in the gas and I don't sleep very well.

Daddy's little rocker

Kaitlyn is taking it very well and seems to really like her little brother. She gives him kisses and says that he's cute all the time. She also seems to be becoming more interested in using the potty now, which is a little odd since she hasn't wanted to use the potty at all the past couple of months. I just feel bad, because she'll ask me to use the potty while I'm nursing Keith and can't help her at the time.

Duke has become hyper protective which is good and bad. It's good that he feels he needs to protect us more with the baby in the house, but bad because he barks at every little sound it seems. I guess it's a good thing that Keith doesn't seem to be bothered by it.

Jordan is busy with work, which is good since we need the money, but it's also a little frustrating, because all summer long work had been a little slow, but now that we have a baby it picks up, a lot. So, I'm home by myself all day long and we've hardly had a chance to talk since we came home from the hospital. I'm not even sure what's going on any more.

Good news in getting rooms finished though. Jordan should be able to move all of his stuff down into his room after this weekend. I'm hoping to get Keith's room painted this weekend too. We'll see how it goes.

He's arrived!!!

I know that I was doing a terrible job keeping everyone up to date on the blog these last few weeks, but life was a little busy with doctor appointments and Kaitlyn and worrying about the baby being late and a possible inducing for me. When we got home things have been a little crazy trying to get used to a new schedule as well, so that's why I'm just now getting this posted.

Keith Christopher arrived on Monday, August 10, a day late, at 8:21 am. He was 7 lbs. 8.5 oz and 19" long. He's a mellower, healthy baby. Plus, he was delivered a lot faster than Kaitlyn was. He decided that he wasn't going to wait and came in about 4 hours, where Kaitlyn took 14 hours. We got to go home on Tuesday, which was nice. The only concern that they had was he didn't want to eat very well on Monday, but he spit up a bunch of stuff all over Uncle Tyler, then some more later. They ended up flushing out his stomach, because he had apparently swallowed some fluids on the way out. Since then he hasn't had any problem eating. Also, he seems to have a clogged tear duct in his left eye, so I have to wipe the eye and apply some ointment to it and massage the duct several times a day. He coos and mews and moans a lot too. He's quite a little talker already, especially when he's sleeping.

He already had to have his first doctor visit today. It was just a well child visit. He has gained an ounce over his birth weight already and seems to be doing well. He is slightly jaundiced, so we have to keep an eye on that, but he's doing good. His eye is doing better and everything else is fine.

Kaitlyn is doing better about the fact that there is another person taking momma's attention. There was much crying the first few days, but she is getting better. Fortunately, Nana came up to help out for a week and she's been able to keep Kaitlyn entertained most of the time. Thanks for the help Mom!

We had Aunt Sissy come up and visit us at the beginning of the month. She didn't get to stick around to see her nephew born, but it was good to see her while she was here. She came up to see her high school friend, Jaimie get married. Congratulations Jaimie and Chance on the marriage, it was a really nice ceremony!

I would like to say thanks to everyone who helped to deliver Keith and care for us while in the hospital, and to everyone who has come to see us. Thanks guys!

A much needed break for Momma.

I had about three days to myself this weekend. Granted I shampooed the carpets downstairs for two of those days, but that really needed to be done. I did feel like I got something accomplished though, since nothing else in the house, as far as getting prepared for this baby is concerned, is getting done.

Jordan took Kaitlyn up to the mountains for the Session's reunion camping weekend. She played with Hannah and got to see all the family. My doctor wouldn't let me go, which didn't really bother me. Kaitlyn's clothes came back looking like she had been allowed to just roll in the dirt, but she had fun. When they got back, Kaitlyn was just babbling on and on and on about this and that. I was really funny.

I did have another appointment yesterday. Found out that I am very slightly dialated. So, then Jordan goes to North Dakota to fix some engine or generator, because he's the closest person in the region that knows how to fix it. Hopefully he'll be back today. I keep telling the baby to wait until Daddy gets home before he decides to show up. So far I'm doing fine, and have not had any major concerns.

Also, the doctor, who was not my regular doctor because she's on vacation for a week, said it seemed like this baby is small. She thinks he'll only be in the high 6 lbs. I said that was fine by me, as long as he's healthy. So know I'm a little concerned about that. Then again in the delivery room with Kaitlyn they thought she'd only be in the 6 lb. range, but she was 7 lb. 4 oz. so, we'll see.

Hope everyone had a Happy 4th!!

I know that I'm a little slow on getting this out, but life has been a little busy and yet not busy. Don't ask, I don't know how that works, just know that it does.

We had a good Fourth of July. On Friday, we went out to the lake with the family. It was an unfortunately rainy day, but we did get some grilling done and got out on the boat. Kaitlyn didn't mind the boat ride, but she had more fun playing with the little pop up button on the glovebox. She didn't really seem to enjoy having to wear the lifejacket though.

On Saturday, we went to the parade with Carissa, Chelsey, Hannah, Hayden, and Grama. Kaitlyn really liked getting candy, but she wanted to eat every piece she picked up. She didn't like the motorcycles when they went by because it was really loud, or the fire engines. Afterwards we went to Grama and Papa's for a brunch that turned into lunch. It was good, Kaitlyn had three helpings of scrambled egg. We hung out there for a little while then went home for naps. We were going to go watch the fireworks, but Kaitlyn wasn't feeling well so we stayed home. Jordan and I watched from our bedroom while Kaitlyn slept. She has yet to watch the fireworks.
The other night I was eating some chocolate in the kitchen, because I didn't want her to see me eating it. It was really close to her bedtime and she didn't need to be having any. Well, I'm still trying to chew it up and she comes in and asks, "What are you eating Momma?" I told her it was nothing. Well, she was not happy with that answer and tells me, "Open your mouth, let me see!" She was very serious and I just busted up laughing. She kept telling me to open my mouth and that she wanted to see. It was finally dropped, but it was sooooo funny.

It's been a long and trying week.

I've had another appointment that was uneventful. Another how are things, baby moving, check weight and blood pressure. Blah, blah, blah.

Jordan had to get scoped the other day to try and figure out what's going on with his stomach. There was nothing obvious that they saw, so they took some biopsies and we'll get the results from those in a couple of weeks.

Kaitlyn and I are done with our swim class finally. It's a good experience, but it runs you ragged when it's two weeks in a row, everyday. It's amazing how a half hour can just wipe you out. She did really well, we still don't like to have our whole head under water, but she did make progress on being on her back in the water. We'll have to see if I can get her in again sometime in the fall.

We did have to take Ellie back to the pound this week as well. She bit Kaitlyn on the face. Don't worry Kaitlyn is fine. She just got a couple little puncture marks on either side of her nose. Ellie didn't bite her real hard, but it's enough that we couldn't keep her around anymore. I don't even know what was going on. Kaitlyn may have been pushing or pulling on Ellie, but neither I nor Jordan were in the room when it happened. Everything is fine, but Ellie is no longer living with us. It's hard, because I was really hoping that things would have worked out with her. Duke really liked having her around and Kaitlyn loved her too.

Kaitlyn takes a nap.

Yes, she does take a nap everyday, but the way she fell asleep yesterday was really cute. She's been getting up at around 6:30 am lately and coming to wake me up as well. So, because she's been getting up so early she's been taking earlier naps. She'll fall asleep a lot of the time when I'm taking a shower. Well this is how she fell asleep.

The animal she's laying on is a very large stuffed frog that I got from Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita the last time we were down there. I just couldn't resist the photo op.

Kaitlyn and I started swimming again today. It went well, we'll see how excited she still is about it at the end of the 2nd week. They run it for two weeks in a row during the summer and usually by the time it's done, so is she.

I would also like to say Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there, I know it's a day late, but we were busy with lots of stuff yesterday. So, Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there!!

Other big news, the basement has been started. The room that is going to be the new reloading room has been framed. They're going to frame the rest of the basement as well, but it all won't get finished at the same time. We're really trying to focus on getting the reloading room done since we're on a little bit of a deadline. I'm really hoping the kid can stay in for that long, 'cause he's really been bumping into the ol' cervix quite a bit here lately. I'm talking like, just about everyday. So, here's to hoping the rooms (reloading and the setup of the babies room) get done before he decides to arrive.

I have a lawn!!!

Yes, I did have an appointment today, but I'll get to that later. The really big news is that I now have a LAWN!!!! We finally laid sod in the backyard after living in this house for three years. I AM SO HAPPY!!!!! Plus, it's stayed alive for about two weeks now, so I think it's going to make it. It was rather fortuitous when we laid it. The morning that it arrived it was cloudy and not real warm, and then the guys (Jordan, Chris, Bryan, and Joe Zabel) laid it all in just a few hours that night. Shortly after it was all laid, it rained. It rained at leas once a day for the whole first week, so we didn't have to water it. That was nice, and it was cool too, so we didn't have to worry about it baking in the sun. We've now had to water it since, but not a whole lot, because the ground is still pretty wet. It's also started to root in, so YEAH!! It's so nice to look out the back door at green and not brown. The poor dogs only get to look too, we're waiting for it to really get set before the dogs go out to tear it up. I HAVE A LAWN!!! I would like to say thanks to everyone who helped and to the wives for letting us borrow your husbands for a few hours.
I did have an appointment today, nothing special just another hey how are you feeling, is baby moving, and check weight and blood pressure. Any questions and thanks for coming, see you in two weeks. So July 1 will be my next one and then I'm sure we'll be going to every week.
32 weeks

Kaitlyn is doing good, she's driving me bonkers today, because she had to come to the appointment with me (everyone who would usually watch her is in Vegas, yeah hope ya'll are having fun) and keeping her entertained in a small room is not very easy. Well, then we get back and she doesn't want to take a nap, because on the way to the doctor she may have gotten two seconds of sleep. She tried really hard to take a nap in the car while going there, but I wouldn't let her. Then on the way back she was a little droopy eyed, but will she take a nap? NO. So, I let her play for a little while and tried again, still no nap. I even tried bribing her saying that we'd go to the park if she would take a nap, but apparently that wasn't enough of an incentive. I will get no me time today and will be crabby for it. I need the me time. I live for the me time. Where is my me time?!?!?!? Well this means we'll be having leftovers for dinner tonight.

Since the lawn has been in we've been taking the dogs to the ball fields more, so they can run around and play together, otherwise they sit around the house and go potty in the front yard seperately. They're wore out in about two minutes. It doesn't take long, they're so out of shape.

Hope everyone is doing well and we'll post again in two weeks, unless something major comes up between now and then.

I'm normal!!

Ok, ok so not in that way, but my glucose levels are normal. During my last appointment I had to take the 1 hour glucose test. A couple of days later the doctor called me back and said that my glucose levels were slightly elevated. Everything else was normal except for that. So, they wanted me to do the 3 hour glucose test at the hospital. I set up the appointment for that, which entailed me fasting for 12 hours (fortunately my first blood draw was at 8:00 am), having my blood drawn four times over a three hour period, and drinking the wonderful glucose drink one more time. For the record, I think the orange flavored glucose is not as syrupy as the lemon/lime flavored one. I came out of there looking like some drug addict with holes in both arms, extremely hungry and thirsty, and very, very tired. But, on the plus side that test came back normal, so I'm normal. My doctor told me today that there were five other women that did the 1 hour glucose test on the same day and were all slightly elevated. They all did the 3 hour test and came back normal. I'm wondering if someone at the hospital screwed up that day. Very suspicious.

Other than that the appointment today went well and quick. Just another how are you feeling and everything looks good. Though yesterday, I thought the kid was going to put a hole in my belly with his foot he was kicking and pushing so hard.

Kaitlyn had her 2 year appointment yesterday. She is 28 lbs. and 35" (2' 11") tall. I thought she would have been just a little bit heavier. She is still developing faster than I can keep up with and had to get a shot. But, she was happy to get the sucker afterward.

She did have a rather unhappy experience the other day. We had gone down to the storage unit to bring Duke some food and water. Jordan had taken him and ended up there to help move and go through some things. Tyler was there and so was Chelsey with Hannah. Kaitlyn and Hannah were playing in Chelsey's van, Kaitlyn was eating a sucker. Suddenly, Hannah says, "Bug!", Kaitlyn says "Bug!", and then a few seconds later, Kaitlyn is screaming. There was also a yellow jacket or something very similar flying away. Kaitlyn had been stung. Her little hand swelled up some and she was not happy. Though I have to say she seemed to take it pretty well. After a few hours her hand was back to normal, thank heavens. I think the wasp was attracted to her sucker, landing on her sticky little hand and she probably went to swat it away or touch it and it stung her. Fortunately she survived.

Our neighbors moved a couple of days ago. I was sad to see them go, they were good neighbors. We've been lucky so far that the neighbors we had before them were good too, so I'm worried that we're pressing our luck for good neighbors. I'm hoping that who ever moves in next on both sides of us will be good and descent people that we can get along with and will put up with our puppies. I do want to say good luck to Tom and Dorene at their new place, hope everything goes well for you guys.

We have now added two apple trees to the backyard. I'm really hoping that they survive, because you have to have at least two apple trees to pollinate one another to produce fruit. Jordan picked them out. He was really picky about which ones he wanted. The vegetable gardens are doing well, we'll see just how well they do by harvest time, but something of everything that I've planted has sprouted and is growing so far. Unfortunately, I may have to replace several of my rose plants. Only two of them are coming back at this moment. I'm going to wait till next year to replace them because I don't have the energy to do it right now.

Other great news, WE'RE FINALLY GOING TO HAVE A LAWN!!!!! I'm soooooooooo excited!!!!! The sod has been ordered and will be here on Friday and by the end of this weekend I will have grass in the backyard. NO MORE DIRT AND MUD!!!!! I can't hardly wait. It will be awesome!! After three years of living in this house I won't have to deal with the dirt and mud anymore!!

And on that happy note, look forward to the next insallment in 2 weeks, that's when I have another appointment.

The Party!

The cake.

Kaitlyn blowing out the candle, Hannah wanting to help.

Kaitlyn ripping through her presents.

Kaitlyn looking at her presents.

The Birthday party went well. Kaitlyn really liked eating the cake and blowing out the candles. She also liked having other kids over. We had family: Grama and Papa; Great Grandma and Grandpa; Bryan, Chelsey, Hannah, and Hayden; Tyler and Cami; Brian, Heather, Jackson, Nicolas, and Wyatt. We also had Deena and Alex, our friends, come over with their baby girl, Lorelai. We had pizza, breadsticks, and salad for dinner, then cake and ice cream. Then we opened the presents. Kaitlyn got a lot of stuff, coloring books, crayons, duplo blocks, baby doll, bubbles, Bolt stuffed animal, clothes, outside toys, bath toys, and a moon night light that hangs on the wall. Of course all the other kids wanted to help blow out the candle and open presents. I believe Kaitlyn enjoyed it though.

Happy Birthday Kaitlyn!!!

Yes, Kaitlyn will be 2 years old at 6:15 tonight. Her party is going to be tomorrow, but Jordan and I set up her play kitchen last night and had it sitting out for her to see this morning. We got up like we do and used the potty. She comes downstairs asking for some hearts (she gets a couple sweetart hearts when she uses the potty). She hasn't noticed the kitchen yet. She goes running into the living room pointing at the TV and saying "Mickey Mouse, Mickey Mouse, wanna watch Mickey Mouse." She still has not noticed the kitchen. She realizes that her clipos are no longer on the floor (I had set them ontop of the kitchen to get them out of the way), she says dissapointedly "my clipos, my clipos." She still hasn't noticed that what the clipos are sitting on are a new kitchen toy. Finally, I said, "Well, what are the clipos sitting on?" She looks down a little and gets this huge smile on her face and backs up to the couch just in awe of what she's looking at. By this time I've sat down on the floor and she comes running over giving me a very big hug and that huge smile. For a fair amount of time she is just standing back and looking at it smiling and giving me hugs. It was sooooooo cute. Finally she goes over to investigate it. She played with it for a half hour without asking for the TV to be on. I wish I could have had someone recording the whole episode, because man was it cute.

I made her some eggs and birthday pancakes that had cinnamon applesauce and sprinkles. I even put two candles in the pancake for her to blow out. She was pretty excited about that too. She even got a little too close when blowing them out that she singed her eyebrows and eyelashes a little bit. Fortunately not enough to really notice.

I've been busy making cake. Actually I need to go frost it while she's napping. Stay tuned for more birthday fun. Grama and Papa are coming over tonight, so there will be more for today I'm sure.

They did make it over tonight and even brought Hannah with them, along with presents and KFC. We ate, the girls had a cupcake after dinner too. Then Kaitlyn opened presents with the help of Hannah. She got a shovel and pail with a watering can, a swimming suit and sandals, some cute clothes, a necklace that Hannah made, and a water wheel table. The last item will be outside for sure. The girls had fun playing....and fighting. You'd think they were sisters sometimes.

Kaitlyn seemed to have a good birthday and I finished as much as I could on the lion cake for the party tomorrow, all that's left is the chocolate curls mane. Time for sleep, so I can be ready for the party.

28 weeks, in the 7th inning stretch.

28 weeks

The day after we got back from our trip I had a doctor's appointment. This was the bad appointment too. I had to drink the glucose, which tastes vaguely like something orange, and then get my blood drawn and then get the Rhogam shot, because I'm Rh-. I have to blame Dad for that one. They have to give you this shot in the butt too, so it's really not fun. My hip that they injected it in was sore this morning too. Grrrrr! Then we tried to get a good 4D photo of the baby on the ultrasound and the stinker had both of his hands covering his face, so we got one that was as good as we could get and Dr. Biggs tried really hard to get a good shot. I've now got appointments every two weeks, so the next one is on June 2.
The best picture we could get.

What else has been going on. Getting ready for Kaitlyn's birthday and doing a lot of gardening. Jordan has started to till the yard for sod. I'm really hoping that that's coming soon. I found the tree I want to replace the tree in the front yard. I'm enjoying the warm weather as much as I can. I'm really going to start getting serious about getting things together for the new baby.

Duke and Ellie are doing good. They are now on more medication than they should be. We found some stuff for their bad breathe that goes in their water. We're also giving them "treats" for the lawn burning problem that they have when they go potty. I'm really hoping that it works, so they don't burn the new lawn in the back. We found some stuff that is supposed to help boost the immunity in Duke's skin so, hopefully we can get him off the steroids. Ellie is also still on the medication for her weak bladder, which she'll be on for the rest of her life. They were really happy to see us home too. They seemed to do pretty well while we were gone except Ellie took it upon herself to dig holes in the yard, other than that they seemed to be good.

I know why the turkey crossed the road.

We survived our trip to Wichita. We left on Thursday, May 7, after Jordan got off of work and made it to Cheyenne, where we stayed the night. On our way there we saw a turkey crossing the highway to get to another male turkey. It's mating season and there was going to be a fight. The other turkey was not happy to see him and fanned out his tail getting ready to go. It was kinda cool.

Friday, we drove all day long and made it to Wichita that night around 6:00 pm. I was happy that Nebraska seemed to fix most of the Interstate and it wasn't as bumpy as I remember from before. The bumps don't feel too good when you really have to pee. We did have to stop every three hours for me to use the potty and Kaitlyn to stretch her legs. She did really well and a portable DVD player and a good selection of movies are a sanity saver. When we were about 30 minutes outside of Wichita is when she started to throw a fit and said she was done.

Saturday, May 9, was the big graduation. That morning was spent decorating and getting food together for the Luau celebration after the ceremony. The ceremony went well and wasn't as long as I was expecting it to be, which was nice. Kaitlyn was a little tired and crabby, so we ended up leaving after Sis walked, but everyone else wasn't long behind us. The afterward celebration was good too. There was family and friends there, lots of food, a fire, and s'mores. Yes, Dad dug a fire pit in his backyard just for Sis. Fortunately, they get a lot of rain this time of year in Wichita and the ground was really wet.

Sunday we relaxed and celebrated Mother's Day. Monday we went to the zoo. Kaitlyn has been to a zoo three times in the past year. I think I'm dubbing this the year of zoos for her. This is the second time she's been to Sedgwick County Zoo. We took Nana (Mom) with us to show her around. We went to the Children's Farms area first because that was the only area that we missed the last time we were there. Kaitlyn got to feed fish and some goats. She really liked to feed the animals. About halfway through though she became crabby and wanting her blankie. Jordan took her back to the truck, while Sis and I took Mom around to see the rest of the zoo as quickly as we could. We stopped in the gift shop and bought Kaitlyn a shirt and Nana got her a stuffed lemur. I got a very large stuffed red-eyed tree frog. Awesome! We were really hoping that when we got to the truck Jordan and Kaitlyn would have been sleeping, but Kaitlyn was wide awake and running amok in the truck. Go figure!

Then the fun began. The rest of the week was spent planning and shopping for the wedding. Jordan and I did get some personal shopping done, but the rest of the time I was helping Mom and Sis shop, plan, and get ready for the wedding while Jordan stayed at Dad's and watched Kaitlyn so my stress didn't go any higher. Near the end of the week we had to get food ready and make sure there was a reception location and call people to let them know that the location had changed. It was crazy.

Saturday, May 16, was the big day. That morning we decorated the reception/wedding hall, then Sis and I went with her friend and other bridesmaid, Cassie, to have our hair done. From there we went to Dad's to get dressed and to get Kaitlyn ready. We ended up about a half hour late to the location, but we made it. Kaitlyn was going to walk down with me as the flower girl, but had fallen asleep during the 15 minutes it took to get to the hall, so she sat with Grama Carolyn and slept. Jordan was recruited to be best man when we got there, because the best man didn't show up. The ceremony was very nice and short, thankfully, because I don't know how long I could have stood there. I was the maid of honor if I didn't mention that. Not as many people showed up as we were expecting, but it was nice to see those that did. Sis had a couple of friends from high school come down for this and it was good to see them. We also had family come up from Florida for the wedding and it was nice to see them as well. The reception went well, there was good food and dancing and a good spice cake. Fortunately the celebration didn't go into the late hours of the night, because we were going to leave somewhat early the next morning.

Sunday morning is when we intended to leave, but we got up late and left early afternoon. We made it to North Platte, Nebraska and stayed the night there. Then made it the rest of the way home on Monday, after making a stop at the Cabela's in Sydney. Of course! It was really good to see all the family and help Sis celebrate these major milestones in life, but it was also really good to be home again. Now I have to catch up on everything that we missed while gone and plan for a 2nd birthday this weekend.

Congratulations once again to my little Sister for graduating with a bachelor's degree in Zoo Science and on the wedding. I hope you get everything from life that you want and need Mrs. Daryl Zaldibar. Good luck in all that you two do together.

They just keep coming.

25 weeks

Well, surprise, surprise, another appointment come and gone. Things are still going well. They checked the heartrate, 145 bpm, and all of the other regular things. I talked to her about the trip to Wichita, which she said there should be no problem. I have another appointment in 3 weeks, right after we get back. I get to drink the glucose and have my blood drawn for gestational diabetes test. Yeah!! The drink is not the greatest, though it is better than drinking that radioactive junk.

I do have to say I am a little worried that I've created another monster. I think this little boy moves around more than Kaitlyn did. If movement in the womb has any indication about activity after birth, then I'm in trouble.

Updates: Ellie managed to lick a stitch out after just a couple of days post surgery. We took her in to have it looked at, because the wounding was gaping open a little bit, but the vet said it's no big problem. Yesterday, she had the rest of the stitches removed. She also had to have her blood tested for heartworm, so we can start her on the heartworm prevention medication. She did test negative, thankfully.

Kaitlyn had a 104 degree fever a couple of weeks ago, we took her into the ER because I couldn't give her anymore medication yet. The ER doctor basically made me feel like I was wasting his time, after we sat in the ER for 5 hours. They couldn't find anything wrong with her, checked her ears and swabbed her throat, making her puke on me (we need to work on her aim). The doctor said they really don't worry about 104 fever in small kids, because of their immature brains. WHAT!?!?!?! Well, SIR, if you don't mind I'll worry about OK. They just pumped her with tylenol and motrin, the fever went down and within a couple of days she was back to her normal self. She had no other symptoms that's what was weird.

Last night she did something really funny. She had been wearing her flip-flops around the house all day. Well, she was trying to get one of them on while holding onto the bookcase in the kitchen. Of course it was just a little out of her legs reach and she's stretched out saying "crap, crap, crap, crap." I had to turn away and laugh. The look on her face and the fact that she's all streched, it was too funny.

Jordan has been home for the past couple of days fighting a cold or the flu or something. He's got a fever and has been achy. I just hope that the rest of us don't end up with it, because we're going to Wichita in just a couple of weeks for Sis's Graduation/Wedding. I don't need to be sick or Kaitlyn either.

Happy Easter!!!

Hope everyone had a great Easter! The Easter Bunny hid some eggs for Kaitlyn this morning, which she ended up cracking just about every single one puting them in the basket. I'd tell her, "Ok, Kailtyn you have to put it in nice..." (CRACK). Oh well, that's why they're hard boiled right. The person who decided to boil the eggs first must have had kids and had some unfortunate accidents. Kaitlyn seemed to like trying to find the eggs. Then she opened her gift from the Easter Bunny. He brought her some little gardening tools and accessories, so she can help Momma in the garden when it's no longer a muddy mess.

Then Kaitlyn got her Easter dress on and went to church with Grama and Papa. Of course I forgot to get a picture of her in it. She was really cute. This gave Momma some time to make the rolls and salad for Easter dinner. Grama and Papa kept her until dinner.

Then Jordan and I went out to Grama and Papa's house to watch the Easter egg hunt that Grama did for the girls, Kaitlyn and Hannah. They both had fun picking up all the eggs. It was really nice out at the time too, which was a welcome change. At first Kaitlyn really just wanted to play with the outside toys, but then got into the swing of it as we got going.

The whole immediate family was there for dinner, except for Carissa and Quintin, who are in Laramie. Hope you guys had a great Easter and got to spend Easter dinner with some family. It was a delicious Easter meal. The company was enjoyable too. And of course, Grama fed the kids way too much candy, but what's Gramas and Easter for I guess. Here's to hoping that everyone got to spend Easter with the ones they love and ate waaaay too much candy!

We were too late.

Well, we thought we'd take Kaitlyn to the Easter Egg hunt hosted by the Rec Center this year. Unfortunately, we were about 30 seconds too late. As we were walking up to the field everyone was leaving. When they say it starts at 1:00 pm they mean exactly that. Personal note for next year: be at the location at least 1/2 an hour early. I even called Chelsey to see if she wanted to take Hannah to it. They were there in time. Maureen Arnold and her clan was there and she threw some eggs on the ground for Kaitlyn to pick up. Kaitlyn just looked at them like, "What do you want me to do?" Hannah was nice enough to pick them up for Kaitlyn and put them in her basket. I was a little irritated to say the least. Oh, well I guess. I did get a couple pictures though. We talked for a little bit and Kaitlyn got to play with Hannah.

Getting ready for Easter

Today we colored Easter eggs for the first time. Kaitlyn did surprisingly well and not much of the food coloring ended up any where else but on the eggs. I actually wasn't going to color Easter eggs this year, I thought that we'd give it one more year, but Jordan thought we should. I'm glad that we did. Kaitlyn really seemed to enjoy it. Plus only one egg ended up on the floor, I can now appreciate why they are hard boiled before they're colored.

In other news, Kaitlyn's sentences are becoming longer and more complex. She's now starting to add the little words that used to get left out like "the" and "a". She also counted all of the slate panels that are in our dining room table bench. There are 13 of them and she counted them by herself. We're still working on counting to 20 by herself and our ABCs.

She also just seems to understand more and more every day. She now realizes that there is a baby in Momma's belly and has even kissed the "baby" (my belly) a few times. She'll even tell me that the baby needs to come out, to which I tell her that there are still a few more months left to go before the baby comes out. I'm really hoping that she'll be more helpful when the baby gets here than jealous. I guess we'll see.

Ellie had a successful surgery today. She was gone for the better part of the day and poor Duke just layed around all day long. She had a mass on her right rear leg that was probably just a little bigger than a marble. We'll get the results back in a couple of weeks as to what it was. Ellie has slept since she's been home and still seems to be a little out of it. She has five stitches where the lump was and gets them removed in 2 weeks. If I had a smaller pair of scissors I would do it myself. What's crazy is the price, it was $350.00 to remove a small lump! But I guess prevention is better than dealing with it if it ever became cancer. Duke was really good with her too when she came home. I was afraid he'd want to try and play with her, but he just gave her some kisses and let her sleep. I guess they just know.
